About ChemEd NZ

ChemEd NZ is particularly aimed at those involved in the teaching of chemistry. Four issues are published each year (February, May, August and November) by the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry, which also publishes Chemistry in New Zealand. ChemEd NZ publishes papers on research and experiences related to chemistry teaching, new perspectives in chemistry education at all levels, and a range of articles on topics that may be useful as case studies in teaching or triggers for further investigations by chemistry students and science pupils.

Although articles for ChemEd NZ may be commissioned or invited by the editor, unsolicited contributions are also welcome. These may be in the form of articles (typically of 3500 – 4500 words) or shorter letters and comments. Contributions from those involved in chemistry education – at schools, polytechnics and universities – are particularly welcomed.

The Editor may seek external review and specialist advice on any submission before formally indicating acceptance for publication.
